I didn't have any trouble finding my way back to the fancy restaurant the guys had taken me to my first night in town. The Wharf was one of the finest examples of understated elegance I'd ever seen. I'd dined at some of the best establishments in New York City, Chicago, and San Francisco, and this place had most of them beat, forks down.

The drive to town required concentration on the road conditions. I quivered with anticipation and suppressed arousal. Thanks to Noel and Tyler, I was horny as hell.

They'd come inside from plowing the driveway open and their romp in the snow with a romp of a different sort on their minds. I watched them move around the kitchen, fixing coffee and a snack. The gleaming eyes with wide, dark pupils that shot intense focused looks back and forth across the table. The continual little flick of tongues to moisten the lips. The controlled sensuality in the way they moved their lean denim-clad hips toward each other when they passed between counter and refrigerator. The small brushes of a hand to the other's back and the slow caress of a partner's side whenever they were close enough to touch.

I watched, suffering in delighted voyeuristic silence, until Noel finally grabbed Tyler by the belt loops and hauled him up the stairs to their bedroom. They were still in there several hours later, doing I knew exactly what, when I left for my date. The walls of the old farmhouse weren't that thick. Thank goodness I'd gotten my borrowed clothes out this morning. Never again would I leave home with only one small suitcase.

The parking lot at The Wharf was only about half-full. I suspected the conditions of the roads kept saner folks home. I parked beside Mason's sports coupe and forced myself to maintain my dignity and walk normally to the door.

Mason waited for me in the reception area and eased my coat off my shoulders. I shivered and hid my surprise as his lips brushed the back of my neck before he draped my jacket over his on a hanger. I turned to face him, found his hand, and squeezed.

"Thank you for inviting me to dinner."

A broad smile spread across his face. "And I thank you for saying 'yes.' I wasn't sure you would. You kinda vibed 'goodbye' the other night."

The hostess chose that moment to tap me on the shoulder. "Are you Kenzie Zahn?"

Mason started and shot me a strange, startled, wide-eyed look.

I nodded. "I am. Why?"

She smiled and gestured toward the dining room. "I thought I remembered you from the other night. Mr. Donaghy called and said that if I recognized you to give you his table for the evening."

I hoped I didn't look as stupid as I felt. "Who's Mr. Donaghy?"

"The owner," she replied with the perfect amount of nonchalance. She met my gaze and couldn't quite keep the amusement out of her voice. "He also owns Genesis Industries."

"Oh! Now I get it." I looked at Mason.
